When submitting a check request, you can customise exactly where the final report is sent. These settings are configured in Step 3 (Report Settings) of the check request process.
⚙️ The Three Report Settings
1. 📬 Redirect Report To
By default, the report is emailed to the person who submitted the check request. Use this field to send it to a different email address instead — for example, a hiring manager's inbox or a shared HR email.
Leave this blank to send the report to yourself (the submitter).
2. 📋 CC Report To
Add one or more email addresses to be copied on the final report email. Useful if multiple people need to see the results — for example, the hiring manager and the department head.
You can add multiple addresses separated by commas.
3. 👤 Send to Candidate
A toggle that controls whether the candidate receives a copy of their own report. This is enabled by default. Turn it off if you do not want the candidate to receive the report directly.
📊 Summary Table
| Setting | Default | When to Change It |
|---|
| Redirect Report To | Submitter's email | When someone else should receive the report |
| CC Report To | Empty | When additional people need a copy |
| Send to Candidate | Yes (On) | Turn off if the candidate should not receive a copy |
🔍 Viewing Report Settings After Submission
You can see the report settings that were configured for any request by opening the check request detail page. The settings are displayed in the Report Settings section of the detail view.
⚠️ Can I Change Settings After Submission?
Report settings are set at the time of submission and cannot be changed after the request is created. Make sure you have the correct email addresses entered before clicking Confirm & Submit.
💡 Tip: If you're submitting checks on behalf of a hiring manager, use Redirect Report To to send the report directly to them — so they get it as soon as it's ready without needing to log in to the portal.
