Credits are the currency of Smile Checks. Your company needs credits to submit background check requests. This article explains how to purchase them.
🔑 Who can purchase credits: Owner and Administrator only
🛒 How to Purchase Credits
- Click Credit Orders in the left sidebar
- Browse the available credit packages
- Select the package that best suits your needs and click Order
- An order is created — you'll receive instructions on how to complete payment
- Once payment is confirmed, credits are added to your company's Available Credits automatically
📦 Credit Packages
Credit packages come in different sizes to suit different usage levels. Larger packages generally offer better value. The available packages and their credit counts are shown on the Credit Orders page.
🏷️ Referral Codes
If your company has a referral code, you can apply it when purchasing credits to unlock:
- 💰 A discount percentage on your purchase
- 🎁 Free bonus credits added to your order
Referral codes can be redeemed from the Company Settings page.
📬 After You Purchase
Once your payment is confirmed and credits are added:
- ✅ Your Available Credits balance updates immediately
- 📧 All Owners and Administrators receive a confirmation email
- 📋 The purchase appears in your Credit Orders history
⚠️ I'm a Verifier or Manager — I Can't Buy Credits
The Credit Orders page is only accessible to Owners and Administrators. If your company needs more credits, contact your Owner or Administrator and let them know.
💡 Tip: Keep an eye on your credit balance. If you receive a Low Credits warning email, purchase more credits promptly to avoid disruption to your check request submissions.
